What is Dysport® ?

Dysport® is a neurotoxin that is injected into your skin to stop muscle contractions. It is specifically used to treat lines that appear in what’s called the glabella, which is the part of your face between the eyebrows. While glabella lines often start by extending up from your eyebrows to the forehead when you squint or frown, they can become more noticeable even when your face is relaxed. The Dysport® injection works similarly to other injectables, as it’s meant to smooth out these fine lines and prevent more from forming. Some of the benefits of Dysport® include:

Dysport® is commonly used to treat fine lines and wrinkles in the area between your eyebrows. These can begin as lines that extend up to your forehead when you squint or frown, but can appear even when your face is relaxed as you age. 

The procedure itself takes only about 20 minutes to complete. It involves your practitioner numbing the treatment area (if necessary) and injecting the Dysport® material into your skin in a few places. Once done, you’ll be able to resume many of your normal day-to-day activities right away.
